The Chihuahua's size makes it a wonderful dog for people who live in small city apartments. Usually they are 6 pounds or less and 6 to 9 inches in height.

The Chihuahua is very protective of their owners and the rest of their family.

All are considered toy dogs but they seem to have no concept of their own size, and often fearlessly confront larger animals.

A graceful, alert, swift-moving little dog with saucy expression, compact, and with terrier-like qualities of temperament, the breed is very hardy and adaptable.

An ancient breed, these dogs are good travelers and can easily go anywhere with their owners. They are the smallest breed of dog in the world.

They do shed, but due to their size, the amount of shedding is minimal.

They require only minimal groomingand only require a bath once a month or so using a very mild shampoo.
