The Svetnaya Bolonka is a Toy Breed originating in Russia.
They are a small friendly and sturdy dog of Bichon Frise heritage and are a unique and rare breed in Canada.
The Bolonka is available in almost any colour and has a soft sometimes curly coat.
The Svetnaya Bolonka was the companion dog of Russian royalty and is a loving, intelligent and loyal breed.
The Bolonka is of medium to low energy and would love to go for a short walk at least a few times per week.
They are very social and get along with other animals well. As with any dog early socialization always helps to make a well rounded dog.
The Svetnaya Bolonka is a non-shedding breed and will require haircuts every 6 – 8 weeks depending on how long you like their hair and how well manicured to want them to be.
Their weight can ranges from 5 - 11 lbs as adults depending on how large their parents are.
Because they are non-shedding they are better for those with allergies and asthma sufferers.
They are good with adults and chlidren and make a unique addition to any family.
